Responsibilities
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with Impact Design guest moves
- Greet donors and assist them with unloading donations from their vehicles
- Assess the quality of all donated clothing, furniture and household items
- Assist in training volunteers assigned to donation sorting workstations
- Cooperatively and actively work with volunteers to process donations received
- Supervise Impact Shelter program participants assigned to warehouse
- Ensure all donations are labeled appropriately and delivered to proper place within the warehouse, baling facility and City Rescue Mission building
Job Standards
- Must be a Christian who has a testimony that includes a definite experience of having received Christ as personal Savior
- Must have a flawless reputation for honesty and a past free from criminal convictions
- Must be a self-motivated, well-organized person
- Must have the ability to verbally communicate with contributors, volunteers, the general public and other members of the staff
- Must be physically able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Forklift certification preferred
- Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license
